SparkLabs Makerspace runs on community energy. We're in the founding phase and need passionate people to help build this space from the ground up. Whether you have a few hours a month or want a hands-on leadership role, there's a place for you here.

Space Buildout Crew

Help us physically build out our makerspace — painting, shelving, electrical prep, workshop setup, and more. Perfect for people who love getting their hands dirty.

Skills needed: General construction, carpentry, electrical, painting, or just enthusiasm

Founding Board Member

Shape the governance and direction of SparkLabs. We're forming our nonprofit board and looking for people with experience in leadership, finance, law, education, or community development.

Skills needed: Nonprofit governance, strategic planning, finance, or relevant professional experience

Community Outreach

Help us grow awareness in Schuylkill County — tabling at events, reaching out to local schools and organizations, social media, and telling our story in the community.

Skills needed: Communication, social media, event coordination, or local connections

Workshop Instructors

Once we open, we'll need people to teach workshops on woodworking, 3D printing, electronics, coding, and more. We welcome experienced makers of all kinds.

Skills needed: Expertise in a maker discipline + willingness to teach

Admin & Operations Support

Help with grant research, bookkeeping, scheduling, member communications, or website upkeep. Flexible and remote-friendly tasks available.

Skills needed: Organization, writing, grant research, accounting, or web skills
